Description
It never ceases to amaze me how an ordinary looking patch of woods can turn into a fiery blaze of color just before the trees shed their leaves for the winter cold. It almost seems like one last hurrah as if to say we will go, but only in a blaze of glory. There are so many shades of yellow and orange in the woods of Oklahoma in the fall and this little patch of woods on our land is but a small taste of them. I can tell you that the bright yellow in the back are cottonwood trees and the big orange tree in the center is an oak the small golden ones in front are red bud trees with a few cedar sprinkled in. We don't have a lot of woods on our land but the woods we have sure are pretty in the fall! I made this digital oil from my own original photograph taken in the autumn of 2011.
