Artist's Description
A digital impressionist painting of overlapping seasons in the Oklahoma countryside with early winter snow on the ground and fall colors still lingering on the tree leaves in pretty shades of orange.
Sometimes in Oklahoma seasons don't behave themselves and come in the order expected, and that is what happened in the year I took the photo that I made this painting from. It was November 2011 and we had just experienced the most spectacular fall colors I can remember when before the trees had a chance to completely shed their leaves, there came an early snow. The contrast of the bare cottonwoods and the orange oaks and red bud trees with the white blanket on the the ground made for a scene I wanted to preserve for all time. I thought it looked best in a square format.
About Shelli Fitzpatrick
Everywhere I look, I see art. If you cut me, I bleed art. I am an artist from birth. It is a talent and a gift God gave me. I specialize in old school digital art, botanical, abstracts and photo manipulation with an emphasis on light and color. One of my goals as a digital artist is to create art that doesn't look digital. My style is eclectic and I focus less on exact details and more on impressions and feelings. You will see the influence of my favorite styles in my work, such as post impressionism, expressionism and modern digital techniques like glitch art . If you like my work please share it on your social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest using the share buttons on this page, thank you! Some of my favorite subject...
