Description
The white heath aster is a very common native wildflower in my area of central Oklahoma, They like to grow in bushy clusters and have lots of small white daisy like composite flower heads with bright white petals. Some of them have vivid yellow centers and some have a purple center with yellow stamens only. The stems and leaves are piney looking and dark green. They seem to be a favorite of small bees and butterflies and I like to use them in flower arrangements as a substitute for baby's breath.
