Description
The next in the Shantytown series is a perfect example of why I wanted to do this project. This is now the only record that this old homestead used to stand on the lot to the north of my house. This was the first home built on the property circa 1930ish and in it's day it must have been something special. I haven't seen many from that era around here that had a garage that was as big as the house. There is another old house built in the 1950's up on the front of the lot that has now been newly remodeled and this old tumble down house has since been torn down. It won't be long before there are none of the old dust bowl era houses left in this old neighborhood of our small town in Oklahoma.
