I heard a legend once that there was a fish made of gold and if you could catch one there was a treasure in his belly... this is the inspiration for my next make believe fish in the fanciful fish series. Meet the golden mackerel. His golden skin is so shiny that he looks as if he is really made of solid gold, or at least gold plated. He swims in shallow lagoons among the the golden seaweed and has been seen teasing fishermen with his shiny appearance even causing divers to go hunting for treasure. This is a fun story but totally fictional, so don't go looking for the golden mackerel in the shallow lagoon.
