Description
The view from my backdoor during one of our not uncommon ice storms here in Oklahoma. Everything in town had a 1/2 inch coating of ice and looked like glass with sparkling diamonds in the sun. But this dangerous beauty is deceptive and it was quite treacherous to walk or drive anywhere. Thankfully it was one of the rare times that we had no broken tree limbs or downed power lines and it melted off pretty quickly.
The round balls of ice you see here were accumulated on my crepe myrtle tree seed pods.
