Springtime in central Oklahoma is a wildflower lover's dream. There are literally thousands of species of wildflowers that bloom just on our 10 acres alone, which requires me to have several volumes of field guides in order to be able to identify them as they bloom in waves throughout the spring and summer months.This is a digital oil that I made from my own original photograph of a pretty brown and white butterfly feeding on fresh white Prairie Larkspur, which is one of the early bloomers around here. I think the butterfly is some variation of a skipper.
I am a life long lover of art and nothing makes me happier than when I am creating it. My style is an eclectic mix of colors and emotions that I believe will offer a little something for everyone. I like to experiment and invent new techniques in creating art with my digital tools and one of my goals is always to make digital mixed media artwork that doesn't look digital. Lately I have been enjoying creating retro pop art and colorful minimalist works. Be sure to check in often to see what I am doing next!
