Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This is a little red dog portrait I made from a PD photo. I am honing my skills at making pet portraits and this little guy was fun to create. If he was mine I would call him Radar for the huge ears that he never grew into.
