A colorful fun and whimsical watercolor painting of a hummingbird hovering at the nectar feeder at sundown with a bright golden orange sunset sky in the background. I learned a secret of how to get a photo shot like the one I used for the reference here. You set up by the feeder just before sundown and wait patiently. Hummers are always in a feeding frenzy right before dark and will keep coming back to give you another chance if you miss the first shot. This one kept popping up as if to say "Are you still there?"
I created this painting from my own photos for the 5 day bird theme image challenge on fineartamerica hosted by Donna Mibus. This is my day 4 image.
