Description
This Dust bowl era tar paper shack is right next door to me in the small Oklahoma town where I live and as the neighborhood I live in dates back to the 1930's, many of the homeowners were in the habit of building a new home on the property but keeping the old one for a storage shed. This shack is one of those. People who were around here long ago remember that a little old man lived in this house until he died and then the new owners built a new house and turned the old one into a shed. Someday someone will tear it down but for now it still stands as a memory of days gone by and when it is gone we will still have this image as a record. This has been a pet project of mine that I haven't had enough time for, but I would like to capture more of these old buildings this way before they are all gone.
