Description

Two young male white tail deer bucks standing in the woods on alert next to a rustic wooden split rail fence looking for any sign of danger and ready to flag their white tails and run away in a flash at the sign of any hunter. It is spring and they still have the velvet on their newly growing antlers.

This is an edit for the edit this 71 contest on fineartamerica hosted by Abbie Shores. I used the photo of a fence provided by her and added the deer from my own trail camera photo then turned the whole thing into a digital watercolor painting using layers in Gimp and Watercolor Studio software.
