Back in 2012 when I first took the photo that I used to make this work from we were still homesteading on our rural piece of land and had no amenities like electricity, so no computer and no Google. I found this lovely flower blooming along with another just like it only deep blue and I had no idea what they were. I did own a collection of field guides so I dug into them trying hard to identify this unusual wildflower and to my dismay I could not get a definitive id. The closest I could guess was that they were clematis flowers and that is what I believed right up until about 2 years ago when now, living in town with a computer, I Googled it and found that they are Anemone Blanda flowers, they grow wild here, in Oklahoma, probably being escapees from gardens and the deep blue color is common. Keep an eye out for future posts that include both colors.
Everywhere I look, I see art. If you cut me, I bleed art. I am an artist from birth. It is a talent and a gift God gave me. I specialize in old school digital art, botanical, abstracts and photo manipulation with an emphasis on light and color. One of my goals as a digital artist is to create art that doesn't look digital. My style is eclectic and I focus less on exact details and more on impressions and feelings. You will see the influence of my favorite styles in my work, such as post impressionism, expressionism and modern digital techniques like glitch art . If you like my work please share it on your social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest using the share buttons on this page, thank you! Some of my favorite subject...
