Here in Oklahoma a highlight of winter is getting to see the flashes of scarlet color that are the Cardinals or as we say in hillbilly, red birds. One of my favorite things about bird watching is how they always seem to be watching me back! That is what I discovered when I started taking photographs of them. In this digital painting which I made from my own original photo, this red bird was watching me watch him. He was probably wishing I would put the camera down and go put more sunflower seeds in the feeders.

Everywhere I look, I see art. If you cut me, I bleed art. I am an artist from birth. It is a talent and a gift God gave me.
