Description
This is colorized glimpse back in time to a second hand store window display on an anonymous city street somewhere in New York City in the 1930s. It was the great depression and times were hard, and people needed money so badly that they were literally selling the clothes off their backs, or as in the sign on this window says they were pawning them for a short time loan and when they couldn't come and pay the loan then the clothes went up for sale or rent. This looks like it was the beginning of the idea of a modern day pawn shop.
